Fall Festival Fun Run

Wilcox held their 2nd Annual 5K-2M Run Walk on September 17th, 2011 during the Fall Festival.  With close to 70 participants, the event was a success. The Wilcox CIA (Community Improvement Association) would like to thank everyone who overcame the fog to attend the race.  With runners coming all the way from Omaha, the CIA is truly grateful. They would also like to send a special Thanks to the sponsors: CPI, Christy Nelson Photography, and Platte Valley Communications.  Below are the results of past races.

Next year’s race will be September 15th, 2012.  The Kids ½ mile will start at 8:00 a.m. with the 5k/2m starting at 8:20 a.m. 

Entry fees for the 5K and 2M are $15 if pre-registered and $20 after the pre-registration period.  The kids ½ mile is FREE, there will be medals for all kids (no t-shirt included for ½ mile).  There are also 1st Place medals for each age group (19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over) for each gender and race.  Water and Snacks are also provided.
